Are You the Technician Everyone Calls When a Board Won’t Behave?

In Lockport, IL, our manufacturing team builds sophisticated electronic test and measurement equipment—and we’re looking for a PCB Fault Isolation & Repair Specialist who prefers fixing the root cause over replacing entire assemblies.

Your Impact

  • Isolate faults on PCB assemblies down to individual components using schematics and bench instruments
  • Own final assembly, test, and calibration of precision products before they ship
  • Repair, test, and recalibrate field-returned units for reliable performance
  • Decode electrical schematics to guide circuit-level diagnostics
  • Operate oscilloscopes, multimeters, and related diagnostic tools
  • Keep meticulous repair logs, calibration data, production docs, and inventory usage
  • Drive root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Work independently with minimal oversight to resolve complex technical issues
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams
  • Meet safety, quality, and documentation requirements every time

Must-Haves

  • 2–4 years in electronics/electrical troubleshooting
  • Strong foundation in electronic theory and circuit analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Hands-on component-level troubleshooting experience
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and similar gear
  • Analytical, methodical problem-solver
  • Self-directed; able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Detail-driven with disciplined documentation
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Open to overtime as needed

Nice-to-Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related
  • SMT soldering and de-soldering skills
  • Experience with calibration processes and electronic test equipment
  • Manufacturing or production support background
  • History of repairing returned electronic products
  • Exposure to ISO-controlled manufacturing environments

Schedule & Pay

  • Full-time, 1st shift
  • $27.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Overtime available
