Our entire team is very aggressive and we are constantly looking to grow our business. We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Overnight PCB LAB Tech Cross Section to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cross-section analysis of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to identify and resolve any manufacturing defects. The ideal candidate will have experience in PCB cross-sectioning, sample preparation, and microscopy, as well as a strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and standards.
Responsibilities:
Conduct cross-section analysis of PCBs using appropriate equipment and techniques
Prepare PCB samples for cross-section analysis, including cutting, grinding, polishing, and mounting
Perform microscopy and other analytical tests on cross-sectioned samples to identify defects and evaluate manufacturing processes
Document and communicate findings to the engineering team, including recommendations for process improvements
Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and properly maintained
Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and standards
Experience with microscopy and other analytical techniques for material characterization
Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as microtomes, polishers, and mounting presses
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IPC standards is a plus
