PGS Worldwide is seeking a PCB Manufacturing Engineer in Oldsmar, FL for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The PCB Manufacturing Engineer will support printed circuit board manufacturing by developing manufacturing processes, procedures, production layouts, equipment arrangements, and process improvements. This role requires hands-on experience with printed circuit boards and supports assembly processes, mechanical assembly, circuit cards, production planning, corrective action, and compliance with manufacturing requirements.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
  • 2–4 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience working with printed circuit boards.
  • Circuit card experience.
  • Mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
  • Ability to support assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
  • Ability to design machine arrangements within plant facilities for efficient production flow.
  • Ability to define sequence of operations and fabrication procedures for tools, equipment, and production processes.
  • Ability to adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Ability to incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
  • Ability to inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency.
  • Ability to investigate process issues and initiate corrective action.
  • Ability to support product quality through manufacturing process improvements.
  • Ability to develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control.
  • Ability to provide engineering guidance on design concepts, specification requirements, equipment use, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to ensure processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations.

Preferred Skills

  • Assembly process experience.
  • Surface mount technology experience.
  • Experience with PCB manufacturing, circuit card assembly, production layouts, process development, tooling support, equipment layout, statistical process control, corrective action, inspection planning, test planning, and manufacturing compliance.

What You’ll Do

  • Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
  • Support printed circuit board and circuit card manufacturing activities.
  • Plan equipment installation, processing, machining, assembly, and material handling approaches.
  • Design efficient machine and equipment arrangements within plant facilities.
  • Define operation sequences and procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment.
  • Adapt equipment or machine designs to factory and production conditions.
  • Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production planning.
  • Evaluate machinery, equipment, and tooling performance.
  • Investigate manufacturing problems and initiate corrective actions.
  • Develop manufacturing processes that support statistical process control.
  • Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and manufacturing requirements.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and procedures comply with regulations.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Monday–Thursday.
  • 6:00 AM–4:30 PM EST.

Pay

  • $32.00–$53.00/hour
