This role ensures products are processed in accordance with established quality, reliability, and production requirements while maintaining safe and efficient equipment performance.

Because the wash area utilizes sophisticated automated equipment, this position requires a technically capable operator with strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. In addition to supporting wash room operations, the individual will assist with manufacturing equipment support, preventive maintenance activities, equipment setups, and production line troubleshooting as workload permits.

Our Team

Our team is focused on delivering operational excellence through equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. We work collaboratively across production, engineering, and maintenance functions to support manufacturing goals and drive improvements that enhance productivity and efficiency.

What You Will Do

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain automated PCB cleaning, wash, rinse, and drying equipment.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, startup and shutdown procedures, and process verification checks.
  • Monitor equipment performance, process parameters, chemistry levels, filters, and system status to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-related equipment issues.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and support corrective maintenance activities on wash systems and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment alarms, process interruptions, and production support requests.
  • Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and process adjustments to support production requirements.
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities on SMT, assembly, test, inspection, or other manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Document equipment issues, maintenance activities, process checks, and corrective actions accurately.
  • Follow all safety requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, ESD controls, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Communicate equipment performance concerns, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities to supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, process efficiency, quality, and safety.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, vocational certification, or associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience operating or supporting manufacturing, SMT, automation, industrial, or process equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, sensors, motors, pneumatics, pumps, valves, and machine controls.
  • Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, work instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety documentation.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and basic test equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to product quality and equipment reliability.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience operating PCB cleaning equipment, aqueous wash systems, dryers, filtration systems, DI water systems, or similar process equipment.
  • Experience supporting SMT equipment, conveyors, printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI systems, test equipment, or automated manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and basic root cause analysis.
  • Ability to identify equipment issues and escalate appropriately to engineering or maintenance teams.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to cross-train and support multiple manufacturing processes and equipment platforms.
