We're seeking a

PCC - Complex Scheduler

who will work collaboratively with staff and patients to schedule complex appointments. This individual will:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Performs advanced and time intensive scheduling tasks to support complex surgeries and/or imaging and procedures outside of current clinic such as hospital or OP radiology center. + To be defined as advanced and time intensive, 75% or more of the employee's time must be spent completing all three of the below scheduling tasks: + Cases performed in an ambulatory surgery center or inpatient setting o Coordination of multiple specialties + Coordination of pre-operation and post-operation testing/clearance May also perform the following: + Coordination of complex, sequential treatment appointments including clinical trials and standard of care patients + Coordination of transplant related work up and evaluations for donors and patients Serves as the primary point of care for these patients and their families. Additional duties may include: + Registering or scheduling new patients and return visits + Scheduling ancillary appointments and imaging and procedures within their local clinic

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

+ 6 months of healthcare scheduling experience is required. + High school diploma or equivalent preferred; + A successful candidate will possess the following competencies and skills: Problem-solving ability; Ability to provide a high level of customer service; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Ability to work in a team environment; Time management skills; Empathy for others. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
