Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients with accuracy and compassion.

• Monitor patient conditions and document vital signs, changes, and interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams to develop care plans.

• Administer medications and manage IV therapies per protocols.

• Identify and escalate safety concerns; participate in safety drills and audits.

• Meet performance targets and contribute to pipeline-based coverage plans.

• Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Engage in continuous learning to advance clinical skills and specialty knowledge.

• Assist in discharge planning and patient and family education.

• Maintain on-site presence, ensure timely patient flow and efficient bed utilization.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and report outcomes.

Experience/Qualifications

• Registered nurse license valid in the job location.

• Proven experience in PCU or acute care nursing.

• Accurate vital signs monitoring and documentation in EHR systems.

• Administer medications and IV therapies per hospital protocol.

• Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians and care teams.

• Strong patient safety mindset; active participation in drills and audits.

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

• Discharge planning and patient/family education.

• Quality improvement participation with ability to track outcomes.

• Capacity management and bed utilization coordination on-site.
