Schedule Commitment

This role works a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and holidays as scheduled, with occasional schedule adjustments to meet operational needs.

Pay Plan

This opportunity is non-exempt and on Pay Grade #4. The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.

Hiring Range: $18.26-$21.19

  • Min: $18.26
  • Mid: $22.36
  • Max: $26.46

Eligibility

Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Texas Class C drivers license and good drivers license
  • State of Texas Euthanasia Certification, or the ability to obtain within six months of hire

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of the care and handling of animals
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures including heat, cold, and during inclement weather conditions

As part of the Police Department, the City of Coppells Animal Services Division is a dedicated team committed to making a positive impact every day through compassionate animal care and exceptional community service. Working collaboratively to protect animal welfare and support the community, the team consists of an Animal Services Manager, Animal Services Supervisor, two Animal Services Officers, and a Kennel Technician, with each role playing an important part in the divisions success.
