ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs and goals of students; establish clear objectives for all lessons and units; ensure that lessons are aligned with state curriculum standards. Develop lesson plans and work cooperatively to learn from feedback and improve quality of instruction. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures; enforce the academys student discipline code. Collaborate with special education staff to implement accommodations and modifications as indicated in student IEPs. Maintain professional competence. Develop/run a club May participate in extracurricular activities such as coaching, tutoring, enrichment activities, etc. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree State teacher certification or in process * Capability in professionalism, instruction and classroom management
