Physical Education (PE) Teacher

Salary: Starting at $60,000 per year, based on education and years of teaching experience

A well-established private school in Palmetto, Florida is seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire middle and/or upper elementary students through engaging physical education programs that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and overall wellness.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy living.
- Teach a variety of individual and team sports, movement activities, and physical fitness concepts.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote sportsmanship, cooperation, and respect among students.
- Maintain and organize gym equipment and instructional materials.
- Ensure student safety by following established school policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school programs and student success.
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in Physical Education is required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous teaching or coaching experience is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Passion for helping students develop healthy habits, teamwork, and self-confidence.
