If so, Childrenâs Memorial Hermann Hospital is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Heart Center team. As a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and a leading trauma facility, our hospital is committed to providing the highest level of care for our young patients.
Schedule:
Full-Time Days (Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm)
Part-Time Days (3 days per week, variable schedule, 8-10 hr shifts)
Some on-call duties required
Salary Maximum: $106,000.00
Principal Accountabilities:
- Perform echocardiogram tests on patients, ensuring technical quality of images.
- Enter and monitor patient data accurately.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and escalate issues appropriately.
- Perform quality assurance on equipment and assist with accreditation applications.
- Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to Supervisor/Manager.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
- Take emergency calls within the department.
Requirements
âMust-Haves:
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
- One (1) of the following required:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Pediatric echo experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiac Sonography Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology, preferred.
License/Certification:
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
- One (1) of the following required:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients for testing.
