Cardiac Sonographer (Pediatric)
A client of Avery Partners

A leading pediatric cardiology group is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join their growing team. This practice includes a large group of pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive care for patients from prenatal stages through young adulthood, specializing in both congenital and acquired heart conditions.

The Cardiac Sonographer will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies, accurately identifying cardiac and physiologic abnormalities, and supporting physicians with detailed imaging reports. This role will also assist with additional diagnostic modalities within the clinic setting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, or related allied health field
  • Minimum of 2 years of cardiac sonography experience (pediatric and/or fetal experience preferred)
  • Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program (CAAHEP preferred)
  • ARDMS registered (or registry eligible) or registered as RCS/RCCS through CCI
    • If not currently registered, must obtain pediatric echo registry within 2 years of employment
  • BLS certification required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional travel to local clinic sites and hospital coverage after training
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Excellent patient care and customer service skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pediatric and fetal echocardiograms in accordance with IAC standards
  • Accurately document and report imaging findings to support physician diagnosis
  • Assist with EKGs and cardiac monitoring device placement (Holter and event monitors)
  • Support equipment maintenance and coordinate with leadership on any technical issues
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure continuity of patient care
  • Operate cardiac sonography equipment in alignment with department quality standards
  • Assist with additional duties and special projects as needed
