Job Opportunity: Pediatric Cardiologist

Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated pediatric cardiologist to enhance our thriving outpatient pediatric cardiology and fetal program. The ideal candidate should be board eligible or board certified in pediatric cardiology and possess the ability to work effectively with a team of cardiac specialists within our division, as well as collaborate with other in-house and community healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Focus primarily on outpatient care, including consultations, diagnostics, and ongoing management of children with congenital and acquired heart conditions.
• Provide general inpatient cardiology service coverage as needed.
• Engage with various cardiology subspecialties such as electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure/transplant, adult congenital heart disease, and advanced imaging.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with referring community providers and general pediatricians.
• Participate in the assessment and long-term follow-up of patients in specialized cardiology clinics.
• Contribute to program development initiatives aimed at improving access to care for children throughout the region.
• Explore opportunities for academic involvement based on personal interests.

About Our Heart Institute

The Heart Institute at our organization addresses a wide range of cardiac disorders, utilizing the latest medical and surgical interventions. Our division comprises three pediatric heart surgeons, five interventional cardiologists, two heart failure/transplant specialists, two electrophysiologists, and three adult congenital cardiologists, supported by a comprehensive cardiac imaging service. Outpatient services benefit from a robust infrastructure that includes nurse practitioners, medical assistants, administrative staff, and access to advanced diagnostic technologies.

Position Details

This is a full-time employed role within our multispecialty physician group. The position comes with a competitive benefits package and a compensation structure that reflects the candidate's training and experience. Coverage for professional malpractice and medical liability is provided under sovereign immunity.
