Location:  Austin, Texas
Facility Name: Dell Children’s Medical Center
Schedule: Full-time | Rotating | 12 hr shifts

Productivity incentives:

What You Will Do:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join an established, high-acuity PICU team at Dell Children’s Medical Center.

  • Join an established team of 11 providers
  • Practice setting: Inpatient
  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
  • Licensed as PA-C or AC-APRN
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
  • Provide expert-level clinical management to critically ill pediatric patients, utilizing advanced decision-making and procedural skills within a collaborative care environment. 
  • Participate in interdisciplinary coordination to deliver high-quality, family-centered care, contributing to the team’s ongoing quality improvement and leadership initiatives across the PICU continuum.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education:

  • Master's degree of Nursing required.
Additional Preferences:
  • Acute Care Certification required for all APRN applicants.
  • 2+ years of prior PICU, Emergency Medicine or Hem/Onc as an APP or RN considered a plus.
