A Smile 4U is a privately owned dental practice with locations in Cartersville, Dalton, Decatur, East Point, and Hiram. We offer a wide range of specialties under one roof including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and scheduling technology. The Ideal Candidate

- Strong foundationin in pediatric dentistry, any General Dentistry experience is a plus!

Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental exams, cleanings, and preventive treatments (e.g., fluoride treatments, sealants) for children

- Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and early orthodontic issues

- Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices and nutrition

- Monitor dental growth and development in pediatric patients

- Provide restorative treatments including fillings, crowns, and extractions

- Administer local anesthesia and, when necessary, sedation for procedures

- Manage dental emergencies (e.g., trauma, tooth pain)

- Work with children who may be anxious, fearful, or have special healthcare needs

- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans

- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution
- Active state dental license in Georgia
- Experience in Pediatric dentistry
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with dental software and technology
- Continuing education in dentistry is a plus
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality of medical records
