Job Summary:

Mission Children’s is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our engaged and passionate group of providers.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified / board eligible in pediatrics
  • Please note this position does not offer visa support
Position Highlights:
  • This is primarily a Pediatric Hospitalist role with potential coverage with the Newborn Hospitalist service line as needed
  • Physician leadership opportunities available
  • Work with MAHEC Family Medicine Residents and UNC Medical Students
  • Flexible scheduling of 12-hour shifts rotating days (7 am – 7 pm) and nights (7 pm – 7 am)

About Mission Children’s:
Mission Children’s is the region’s only children’s hospital covering western North Carolina with 60 pediatric subspecialists in 23 different disciplines:
  • 51-bed, Level-III NICU and delivery room resuscitation staffed by our Neonatology team
  • 34 bed Mother Baby Unit
  • 19 bed Pediatric Unit
  • 9 Bed PICU staffed by our Pediatric Intensivist team
  • An average of 3,000 patient admissions to our pediatric inpatient units
  • Approximately 4,000 deliveries per year 
  • Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year
  • Dedicated infant transport team serving a 55-county area
