Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is required within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Epic experience is required.
• BSN completion required.

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience: Pediatric step-down experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Behavioral health experience is preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Unit Details: The patient population includes infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, and adults. C5 MSP cares for patients with acute/chronic respiratory conditions, GI disorders, eating disorders, seizures requiring video EEG, rehabilitation needs, and headache/migraine. C5 TCUP includes rhythm monitoring, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, peritoneal dialysis, solid-organ transplant (kidney/liver), and spinal fusion.
Shift & Scheduling: Shift windows include day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30). Can work a combination of days and nights in a 4-week scheduling period. Must be able to work Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Every third weekend.
Floating Requirements: Must be willing and able to float to multiple UCSF locations as needed. Float to stepdown and/or transitional care is required.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
