Why Metro Detroit

Metro Detroit is a region that consistently surprises physicians who arrive expecting rust belt and discover a thriving, affordable, and culturally rich metro area. The suburbs - Bloomfield Hills, Rochester Hills, Birmingham, and Royal Oak among them - offer excellent public and private schools, safe neighborhoods, and a cost of living that stretches a physician salary considerably further than comparable markets on the coasts. Detroit's culinary scene has earned national recognition, and the region's sports culture, world-class museums, and proximity to Michigan's lakes and outdoor recreation make for a genuinely well-rounded quality of life. For physicians with families or those looking to plant roots, Metro Detroit offers something that's increasingly rare: exceptional medicine in a community where you can actually afford to live well.
