VNA Health Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to infants, children, and adolescents. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will promote healthy growth and development while delivering high-quality preventive, acute, and chronic pediatric care in a community health setting.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive health assessments, well-child examinations, and developmental screenings for pediatric patients from birth through adolescence.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric illnesses and injuries.
Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results.
Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with Illinois APRN regulations.
Administer and promote recommended childhood immunizations.
Educate patients and families on growth and development, nutrition, safety, preventive care, and disease management.
Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, nurses, care coordinators, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support VNA Health Care's mission of providing accessible, equitable healthcare to the community.
Qualifications
Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program.
Current Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-PC or PNP-AC).
Current BLS certification.
Minimum of one year of pediatric clinical experience preferred.
Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
