Blue Wave Medical Associates is a growing, highly collaborative pediatric practice seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. We pride ourselves on maintaining an old school private practice feel, offering a supportive environment where providers have a voice and are given the time they need to deliver exceptional patient care.

Quick Look

• Schedule: Part-time, approx. 25 hours/week | 2.5 days per week on an alternating weekly schedule.
• Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
• Call/Weekends: No on-call requirements. No hospital rounding. Includes 1 to 2 short Saturday shifts per month (9:00 AM - 2:00 PM).
• Locations: Outpatient clinic in Clearwater FL.

Practice Overview

• Supportive Environment: Work semi-autonomously alongside a highly supportive on-site Board-Certified Pediatrician, 2 nurse practitioners, and a fully cross-trained and collaborative support team.
• Broad Scope of Care: Manage a diverse patient panel ranging from newborns to young adults up to age 24.
• Flexible Appointment Times: Enjoy flexible appointment times ranging from 15 to 45 minutes to ensure quality care.

Clinical Duties Alongside routine pediatric care, perform newborn exams, administer vaccines, and handle clinical procedures including laceration repairs, foreign body removal, heel stick, blood draws, and respiratory treatments.

Professional Growth This is a long-term role designed to accommodate practice growth, offering the potential to transition into a full-time position in the future, as well as opportunities to precept APP students.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active unrestricted Florida license or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience: 1 year of pediatric practicing experience required.
• Attributes: Strong bedside manner, a relationship-based approach to care, and HIPAA compliance.
