A Pediatric Occupational Therapist is needed at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The facility operates state-of-the-art surgical suites and offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including a dedicated pediatric unit, rehabilitation services, childbirth center, cancer center, and inpatient behavioral health unit. The hospital holds PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditations.

The role. This is a permanent Pediatric Occupational Therapist position embedded within the hospital's pediatric unit, providing direct occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to pediatric patients across a diverse acute care caseload. The therapist will assess functional status and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring, improving, or maintaining patients' ability to perform daily activities. The role involves close collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team — including physicians, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation professionals — to coordinate patient care and progress toward discharge goals. The therapist will also provide family and caregiver education to support continuity of care following discharge.

What we're looking for.
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in a pediatric setting
  • BLS certification required at time of submission
  • All other required certifications may be obtained after hire (refer to Life Support Certification document for specifics)
  • Active New Mexico licensure or Compact licensure not required at time of application; must be obtained prior to start date

Schedule. Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

Compensation. $32.43 - $51.88/hr plus $1 sign-on bonus
