Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Physician (2536)

Pediatric PMR sub-specialist provides physiatry consultative services on both the University hospital pediatric rehabilitation unit and outpatient pediatric day treatment program. The position also involves the provision of outpatient clinic pediatric physiatry services including spasticity management in the physician practice's outpatient clinic.

Job Responsibilities:

• Consultation/follow up PMR care for hospital inpatient pediatric patients
• Consultation/follow up PMR care for Pediatric Day Treatment Program patients
• Consultation/follow up PMR care for outpatient pediatric patients including spasticity management
• Participation in weekly hospital inpatient pediatric unit team conference with oversight of PMR related needs and goals in coordination with the pediatric hospitalist team
• Participation in physician related case management activities to assist in length of stay management and that successful/safe discharge plans and outcomes are achieved
• Participation as needed in hospital pediatric related quality and safety committees

Job Qualifications:

• M.D. / D.O.
• Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• Board eligible/certified sub-specialist in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine
• Fellowship completed in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine or have successfully completed an accredited Combined Pediatrics-Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency

Hours: On site M-f 8-5/No overnight call or weekend responsibilities
