Job Description
Join Our Team as a Pediatric Rehabilitation Physician

Our organization is looking for a dedicated Pediatric Rehabilitation Physician to become a part of our esteemed Faculty Medical Group within the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

We are proud to collaborate with a leading rehabilitation service provider that specializes in care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to the age of 21. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional medical care in a welcoming environment, supported by board-certified physicians and specially trained staff who prioritize each child's health with compassion and expertise.

Our Faculty Medical Group is associated with a prominent medical center, children’s hospital, and school of medicine, all dedicated to providing comprehensive care at an exemplary level of clinical excellence. Serving as the primary tertiary referral center in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, we cater to a community of nearly 4 million residents.

For over a century, our organization has been committed to excellence in healthcare, research, and education. We have recently expanded our children’s hospital to better serve our community's health needs, incorporating state-of-the-art facilities that embrace the latest advancements in technology and patient care. Additionally, we have bolstered our research capabilities through a new collaborative research center and program endowment.

We are dedicated to integrating a faith-based approach to holistic healthcare. As a Seventh-day Adventist organization, our mission is to embody the healing and teaching ministry of Jesus Christ, striving to "make man whole." Our core values include Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness.

Key Opportunities Include:
  • Inpatient acute rehabilitation for patients aged 0 to 21, including a new initiative for infants transitioning from the NICU who may experience feeding challenges, delayed milestones, or anxiety with handling.
  • Outpatient practice primarily focused on conditions such as cerebral palsy and spasticity management (including ITB and Botulinum treatments), with opportunities to engage in multidisciplinary clinics, including the Home Ventilator clinic, Hypertonicity/SDR clinic, Spina Bifida program, high-risk infant program, and Muscular Dystrophy clinic.
  • Teaching opportunities within the PMR residency program.
  • Research support within the PMR department, with potential projects stemming from the new Totally Infants’ Program at our partner organization.
Lifestyle Considerations:
  • On-Call Duties: Participation in the on-call pool for Adult Inpatient Rehabilitation units may be required, depending on availability and necessity.
  • Working Hours: Generally from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with earlier hours on Fridays.
  • Patient Interaction: Typical visit durations are approximately 20-30 minutes for follow-ups and 30-40 minutes for new patients, with flexibility for new hires.
