Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Berkeley, California

Preferred qualifications and background:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid SLP license for California or eligibility to obtain one
• Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate status
• Experience or coursework in pediatric and/or school-based settings strongly desired
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to implement evidence-based therapy in both individual and group formats
• Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language services to students as specified in their IEPs
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students referred for speech and language concerns
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals based on student needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and collaborating with team members
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
• Offer consultative support and training to teachers and parents to further student progress
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and uphold ethical, current practices in speech-language pathology
