Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Des Plaines, IL

This unique contract opportunity offers two engaging roles: either manage a diverse caseload of upper school students in need of direct and indirect SLP services, or provide essential supervision for a Clinical Fellow (CF) SLP onsite. With hours ranging from 10-20 per week, enjoy a flexible schedule while contributing your expertise in an encouraging setting.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Illinois SLP License and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
• Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings
• Previous supervision of Clinical Fellows is a plus (for supervision role)
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• For Upper School Caseload: Deliver both direct therapy and consultative/indirect services for a group of 12 students, developing individualized treatment plans and progress reports
• For CF Supervision: Guide and support an onsite SLP Clinical Fellow, conducting regular observations, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and support academic/communication goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and federal guidelines
