Position Summary

This role conducts routine pediatric sleep studies, including CPAP and BPAP titrations, by preparing patients and equipment, performing polysomnograms, and troubleshooting technical issues. It also involves maintaining equipment, contributing to departmental operations, and participating in ongoing professional development, all while upholding the hospital's core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and equipment for pediatric sleep studies, including reviewing medical history and ensuring adherence to lab protocols.
  • Perform routine and specialized sleep procedures, such as polysomnograms (PSG), CPAP/BPAP titrations, MSLT, and MWT.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain sleep study equipment, ensuring all devices are clean, functional, and repaired as needed.
  • Participate in departmental operations, including attending staff meetings and contributing to the development of procedures and protocols.
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in sleep medicine.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma/GED
  • Completion of a Sleep Tech program preferred
  • Experience: 6-12 months of Sleep Tech experience preferred
  • License/Certification: RPSGT eligible

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
