About Our Practice
Unlocking Potential is a holistic pediatric occupational therapy practice specializing in oral function, feeding, sensory regulation, primitive reflex integration, developmental needs, and whole-child care. Our team takes a neurodivergent-affirming, child-led, and relationship-centered approach. We believe children make meaningful progress when they feel safe, understood, and connected. We are looking for team members who share those values and genuinely enjoy supporting children and families.

About the Position
The Pediatric Therapy Aide/Clinic Support Technician assists our therapists during the workday and helps keep the clinic organized, welcoming, and ready for each child. This is a supportive role. The aide will work under the direction of licensed therapy professionals and will not independently provide skilled therapy services.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms, toys, equipment, and materials before sessions
  • Reset, clean, and sanitize treatment spaces and equipment between patients
  • Assist therapists during sessions as directed
  • Help children transition safely and comfortably in and out of treatment sessions
  • Engage with children through play and supportive interaction while following the therapist’s direction
  • Organize therapy supplies and notify the team when materials need to be restocked
  • Complete basic administrative, organizational, and data-entry tasks
  • Use Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and an iPad for assigned tasks
  • Assist with basic, practice-approved Instagram and social media tasks
  • Protect patient confidentiality and follow all clinic privacy and safety policies
  • Help maintain a clean, supportive, and welcoming clinic environment
Required Qualifications
  • Comfortable working closely with children of different ages and abilities, including nonspeaking children
  • Respectful of all forms of communication and able to recognize that a child’s ability to speak does not determine their ability to understand
  • Patient, calm, compassionate, dependable, and emotionally regulated
  • Able to follow therapists’ directions and accept feedback professionally
  • Comfortable participating in active, play-based sessions, including sitting and moving on the floor
  • Working knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and iPads
  • Basic familiarity with Instagram
  • Current CPR/ First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Able to successfully complete a background check
  • Reliable transportation to our Old Bridge location. Able to use vehicle to run local errands as needed
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
  • Able to maintain professional boundaries and strict patient confidentiality
Experience with children, individuals with disabilities, or healthcare settings is preferred but not required. This position may be a good fit for a college student or graduate interested in occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, physical therapy, psychology, education, child development, or another pediatric healthcare field.

Our Ideal Team Member
The right person for our practice understands that behavior is communication. They are curious rather than judgmental, willing to meet children where they are, and comfortable supporting children with sensory differences, communication differences, emotional regulation needs, and complex developmental or medical histories.

We value team members who are flexible, proactive, warm, trustworthy, and willing to learn. Because our practice is highly collaborative, candidates must be comfortable communicating openly and working closely with therapists, children, and families.

Schedule
This is a part-time, in-person position (Monday through Friday)
The clinic’s total scheduling window ranges from approximately 9:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., depending on the day. Employees will not necessarily work that entire time. Days and shifts will be divided among the two or three individuals hired based on clinic needs, patient scheduling, and employee availability.
