Our client, a leading healthcare organization operating a busy pediatric facility in Westchester, is hiring a Pediatrician. Pediatric Critical Care skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive clinical care to a panel of 18-20 children with complex health conditions.
Collaborate with nurse practitioners, subspecialists, and the medical director to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Participate in weekly multidisciplinary care-team meetings and pediatric rounds with subspecialists.
Serve in an on-call capacity once a month, providing remote orders and oversight, with a weekly stipend of $2,000.
Manage patient care primarily during daytime hours; on-call duties typically occur remotely, with minimal on-site nighttime presence.
Engage actively with families, ensuring their involvement in the treatment process.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with healthcare regulations.
Support organizational initiatives for quality improvement and care excellence.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of pediatric clinical experience, with additional critical care experience preferred.
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York.
Board certification or eligibility in pediatrics; subspecialty certification in critical care is highly desirable.
Proven ability to manage complex pediatric cases independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on family-centered care.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multidisciplinary teams.
Flexibility to participate in a monthly on-call rotation.
Local candidates are preferred; relocation assistance is available for qualified out-of-area candidates.
Additional certifications such as PALS or ACLS are advantageous.
