Pediatric Hospitalist/ER position available in a combined Pediatric Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit at Anne Arundel Medical Center, which is situated in beautiful Annapolis, the capital city of Maryland. Doctors Emergency Services P.A. is an independent single specialty Emergency Medicine group seeking a full-time pediatric hospitalist for a 18 bed combined Pediatric Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit. ~20k PED visits annually, ~1K admissions per year.  Subspecialty rich for a community hospital.  Well positioned between two tertiary care pediatric centers, who work well with our organization to best serve children in our community. Work with a dedicated team of 11 experienced pediatricians and PNPs. 24 hour dedicated pediatrician care, with 16 hours of additional double coverage with second physician or APP staffing.

Candidate requirements:

• Strong clinical skills
• Board certified/eligible in pediatrics with emergency medicine experience or willingness to learn, WILL consider new grads
• Provide hospitalist care for all patients in ED and the inpatient unit - opportunity for both ER procedures and inpatient management
•  

Responsibilities include:

• Full time is 32 clinical hours a week, with distribution between days, evenings and nights, as well as weekends (8-, 10- and 12- hour shift options), would consider part time work with a minimum of 64 hours a month.
• Opportunity for a nocturnist position is available
• Ensuring quality of care, consistent evidenced-based practice within the department
