Marian House is a residential recovery housing program for women and their children. We provide trauma-informed care, supportive housing, and recovery services to help women achieve stability, sobriety, and independence.
Position Overview
We are hiring a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to provide peer support services to women in recovery. This role is ideal for someone with lived experience who is passionate about supporting others through substance use recovery, mental health challenges, and reentry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer-based support through one-on-one interactions and group sessions to encourage recovery, stability, and personal growth.
- Assist residents with recovery planning, goal setting, and development of healthy coping and communication skills.
- Support individuals navigating substance use recovery, mental health challenges, housing stability, and employment readiness.
- Connect residents to community resources and advocate for self-advocacy, empowerment, and continued progress in recovery.
- Collaborate with case managers and multidisciplinary team members to support coordinated care and resident success.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) - required
- Experience in behavioral health, substance use, recovery support, or social services preferred

- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

- Evening and/or weekend availability preferred
