Job title: Human Services Aide - Peer Recovery Specialist
Starting Pay rate: $28.56
Possible Start date: 2-4 weeks
Hours/Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Length of assignment: temp-hire contract
Main duties/Job description:
Under general supervision, this position assists with crisis intervention, screenings, assessments and service coordination for mentally ill, substance use and co-occurring individuals. This position reports to the Program Administrator.
The Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) provides lived-experience-based support to individuals experiencing serious mental health and/or substance use challenges. By sharing your own recovery journey, you will inspire hope, model resilience, and empower individuals to achieve self-determination and reach their personal recovery goals.
Requirements:
An associate's degree in social work, Psychology, Education or a related human services field preferred. Requires 1-2 years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist preferred but not required.
A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
