Peer Recovery Support Specialist - Manteno - 2nd shift

Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Essential Duties:

• Conduct recovery oriented and educational groups under the direction of the Program Manager

• Engage patients in treatment through motivational interviewing and motivational enhancement techniques

• Assist with monitoring patient engagement and communicate with the treatment team regarding patient attendance, participation and any barriers or needs to support treatment involvement

Residential Coordinator (RC) Essential Duties:

• Process incoming patients including basic orientation to program rules

• Support treatment plans by reporting client observations and support decisions concerning therapy, discipline and privilege (at a minimum twice per shift and subject to change depending on need)

• Assists case manager/counselor with client activities by implementing scheduled and/or requested activities.

• Works cooperatively with members of the nursing and medical staff to monitor clients’ vital signs, observe urine drops, monitor self-administration of medications, monitor clients, and chart all pertinent data.

• Performs room and facility checks, at varying intervals, to ensure client’s comfort, safety, and well-being.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (2:30p - 11:00p) with flexibility to accommodate agency's need

Start Date: ASAP

Work Location: 333 W. Evergreen St., Manteno, IL

Pay Rate:  $18.26 - $22.00 per hour, based on certification; Sign-on bonus available for certified candidates.

Education and/or Experience:  High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years old. Must have at least one year of recovery from substance use, mental health or co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges. Must have certification in either Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Peer Recovery Support (CPRS), or attain certification within one year of placement in position. Demonstrates the ability to work within agency structure, accept supervision and participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, when applicable.
