The Peer Recovery Coach provides peer-based support, encouragement, and resource navigation to individuals in recovery. Using a recovery-oriented approach, this role empowers participants to achieve their personal goals, connect with community resources, build recovery skills, and strengthen their overall health and wellness through advocacy, education, and peer support.
Job Description:
Conduct outreach and provide one-on-one peer recovery coaching, encouragement, and resource navigation to support individuals in achieving their recovery goals.
Facilitate peer support groups, recovery skill-building workshops, and wellness activities that promote resilience, self-advocacy, and sustained recovery.
Connect participants to community resources and assist with accessing behavioral health, housing, employment, education, transportation, and other supportive services.
Coordinate recovery-focused activities and collaborate with community partners to expand access to recovery support services.
Facilitate computer lab sessions and assist participants in using technology to access community resources, educational materials, and online recovery supports.
Support and mentor peer leaders while helping develop educational materials and recovery resources that promote participant engagement.
Maintain accurate documentation, update community resource information, and uphold confidentiality while fostering a welcoming, recovery-oriented environment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or experience equivalency.
Experience in providing or facilitating services to persons in recovery is preferred.
Persons in recovery must meet one (1) year sobriety requirement
Current Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance are required.
