Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach services, spending 80% of the time in the field and 20% in the office.
- Provide immediate support and guidance to individuals entering recovery and mental health treatment.
- Engage in conversations with individuals about seeking treatment or other services.
- Build rapport with those who are unhoused and have substance use and/or mental health disorders.
- Offer direct and indirect peer support services and emotional support to clients and families.
- Assist with transportation of clients and referrals to treatment facilities.
- Provide on-the-spot assistance with Narcan and/or CPR when needed.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Direct personal experience living with mental illness and/or addiction and recovery, with a willingness to self-disclose for the purpose of education and providing hope.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel.
Preferences:
- Peer Certification or willingness to obtain within the first six months of hire.
