    About the Role
    Clarvida is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our Catalyst ACT team in San Diego, CA. This full‑time position offers an opportunity to use your lived experience to mentor and support Transitional Age Youth (TAY, ages 16–25) with serious mental illness and housing instability. You’ll assist clients in recovery, strengthen peer relationships, and collaborate with clinical staff in a trauma‑informed, person‑centered care environment. 
    Responsibilities 
    • Provide peer mentoring, support, motivation, and advocacy to clients 
    • Assist clients with daily living skills, appointments, and transportation 
    • Facilitate peer‑led groups, social events, and community integration activities 
    • Coordinate with external agencies, resources, and community partners to support client goals 
    • Document services and maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical, and program standards 
    • Carry a client caseload and work in the field 
    • Participate in team meetings, crisis response, training, and program planning 
    Required Qualifications 
    • Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or closely supporting someone who has 
    • High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred but not required) 
    • Valid California driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation 
    • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills 
    • Minimum 1 year of peer support or related experience
