The candidate will have experience across multiple technologies and design techniques and will deliver high-quality software through modern engineering practices.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software using a modern development toolset.Apply multiple design techniques and contribute to application architecture and code quality.Work within Agile frameworks and participate in ceremonies, planning, and iterative delivery.Implement CI/CD, TDD, and cloud-native practices to improve reliability and security.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (for example, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go).Working proficiency with development tools supporting build, test automation, code review, and deployment.Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience delivering in a Scrum or Kanban framework.Knowledge of CI/CD, TDD, cloud development, application resiliency, and security best practices.Working proficiency across software engineering disciplines, including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement.Preferred Skills:Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.Required Skills & Qualifications:* Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting* Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance* Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications* Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation* Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity* Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience* Demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of Software* Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages* Proficient in Pega development as well as multiple design techniques* Working proficiency in Pega toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software* Good understanding of PL/SQLWhy BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
