Assist in the coordination and implementation of the planning and reporting of each of the districts PEIMS data collections, TSDS (Texas Student Data System) and Core Collections to ensure the districts compliance with all aspects of the timely reporting and accuracy of the PEIMS data. Daily interaction with campus and district staff to assist in the integrity of both the Student Information System (SIS), Human Resources and Financial business records (ERP) . Education/Certification/Requirements: • Associate degree or 60 College Credit Hours, with four ( 4) years' experience with emphasis in system analysis, database management, applications, and operating systems • Or five ( 5) years' experience with Student and Business Information Software and/or PEIMS • Valid driver's license • Demonstrate depth in data collection, preparation, analysis, and reporting. Special Knowledge/Skills: • Advance knowledge of TEA PEIMS guidelines, Texas Student Data System (TSDS), Core collection and submission processes. • Knowledge of the Student Attendance Accounting Handbook (SAAH). • Solid understanding of Student Information Systems, Human Resources, and Finance, data integrity, user support and information management to include PEIMS submission requirements and processes. • Knowledge of local, state, and federal requirements for data reporting and ability to interpret new reporting requirements . • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, One Note, and Share Point. • Demonstrated ability in system analysis and configuration, and project management • Evident focus on customer service initiatives, rigor and discipline, teamwork, collaboration, staff development and training . • Ability to analyze, pay attention to detail, and problem solving. • Demonstrates an attitude of quality service, professional image, and high level of diplomacy in working with all personnel. • Team player with ability to collaborate with diverse individuals at all levels of the district and with cross- functional teams • Demonstrated skill in project management, staff development, organization, and planning. • Ability to clearly define, communicate and validate business and technical requirements . Major Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Administers, coordinates, analyzes, application systems and programs to enhance information management of the district's personnel, business, instructional , and student operations systems. 2. Serves as information management systems liaison for Human Resources, students, and Business Services. 3. Assists in coordination, maintenance, and submission of accurate and timely PEIMS data to the Texas Education Agency according to state statutory requirements. 4. Performs advanced analysis of the district's student and staff data including records, reports, and information systems to determine compliance with applicable state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. 5. Provide district support to campuses and departments in the coordination and submission of PEIMS and TEA Core Collections and data elements. 6. Continually reviews, documents, and improves PEIMS processes and procedures to ensure accurate PEIMS reporting. 7. Provide training, support, and guidance of Student Information Systems/Finance/HR management systems as they relate to PEIMS. 8. Responsible for PID reporting (Personal Identification Database) error percentage standards as described in the PEIMS Data Standards, PET reporting (PID enrollment tracking) as required by TEA PEIMS, and other PEIMS related (attendance, discipline, special populations, staff, finance, etc.) reports and data analysis as requested. 9. Run edits, reports , and analyze data for accuracy prior to distribution to the campus and departments . 10. Maintain an organized and effective filing and record system to include developing and storing records and disposing of obsolete records and any other records management functions necessary for compliance. 11. Agility to learn new systems, software applications and adapt to change. 12. Monitor campus and department PEIMS data to ensure data validation is error free using TSDS. 13. Develop manuals and procedures to collect student and staff data as required by the rules and regulations stated in the SAAH and the Texas Education Data Standards (TEDS). 14. Assist district and campus staff with development and maintenance of processes and procedures to ensure accurate PEIMS reporting related to student information, special programs, staff, finance, attendance, discipline and leavers. 15. Assist s in training and overseeing the maintenance of physical and computerized student records according to established procedures and to include TREx. 16. Conduct district internal audits to ensure campus and department records maintained are in -compliance according to the Texas Education Agency through PEIMS. 17. Assist with the issuing and verification of Unique IDs for students and staff . 18. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned tasks or projects. 19. Assists with providing training and support to data owners related to the TSDS Core Collections of ECDS PK and KG, Fall and Winter Class Roster, Residential Facility Tracker, State Performance Plan Indicator - 14, and Special Ed Language Acquisition . 20. Conduct regular data analysis and verification to identify errors, inconsistencies, and discrepancies. 21. Work closely with Human Resources, Finance, SIS and ERP departments to resolve data- related issues and implement measures to improve data quality. 22. Assist with maintaining and training of the SIS and ERP modules and any other related applications. 23. Assist with reviewing campus attendance on a six -week basis. 24. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned tasks or projects 25. Maintains confidentiality with all information housed in the district's systems. 26. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the SISD safety program.
