Work Arrangement: 10% Onsite (required for mail processing as needed)

Job Description

The Arizona Department of Revenue (AZDOR) is seeking a Penalty Support Specialist to support Taxpayer Services operations. This role is responsible for processing Forms 285 (Power of Attorney) and 290 (Penalty Abatement), ensuring accuracy, maintaining records, assisting taxpayers, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming AZ Forms 285 and 290, reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and process Power of Attorney (POA) and Penalty Abatement forms for entry into internal systems.
• Organize and securely maintain paper, email, and fax documentation.
• Research and resolve POA and prescreening issues.
• Serve as a point of contact for taxpayer inquiries related to Forms 285 and 290.
• Provide basic customer support and guidance on form completion.
• Escalate complex inquiries to senior team members when necessary.
• Process incoming mail and perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Education
