Penetration Tester

Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies is seeking a Penetration Tester to support a Cybersecurity Program.

Note: This role is for a proposal. Offer will be contingent upon proposal award. Estimated timeline for role to begin is early 2027.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Coordinates and conducts all agency penetration testing on NCUA-operated systems.
• Develops and maintains the Penetration Testing Concept of Operations/SOPs;
• Coordinates assessment models with NCUA before each engagement;
• Drafts Rules of Engagement and test-specific documents;
• Performs red teaming, blue teaming, purple teaming, adversary emulation, and breach-and-attack simulation to improve SOC operations and overall defensive posture;
• Simulates advanced persistent threat (APT) scenarios;
• Documents and categorizes findings/vulnerabilities and prioritizes remediation by severity;
• Drafts and publishes penetration test reports (results, findings, remediation);
• Integrates testing with vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and incident response/reporting.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the conduct of, supporting the conduct of, or leading penetration tests.
• Strong understanding of operating systems and networking protocols
• Strong understanding of how to identify and exploit vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of web application technologies
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools and scripting languages and strong problem-solving and communication skills
• U.S. citizenship required

Nice to Have Skills

• Preferred certifications comparable to OSCP or CEH.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the conduct of, supporting the conduct of, or leading penetration tests.

• U.S. citizenship required (Non-Sensitive/High Risk).

Salary Range: The salary range for this position represents Dynamo's good-faith estimate of the compensation expected to be offered at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, the responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity.

115k -135k annually
