About the Role
The People Analytics Analyst turns workforce and compensation data into clear, reliable insights that support business and talent decisions. This role combines people analytics, compensation analysis, dashboard development, and HRIS administration, with responsibility for maintaining trusted data, producing decision-ready reporting, and improving the way HR information is captured and used.
The ideal candidate is analytical, technically curious, highly accurate, and able to translate complex workforce data into practical recommendations for HR and business leaders.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and recurring workforce reports covering headcount, turnover, hiring, workforce movement, career progression, compensation, benefits, performance, and other key people metrics.
- Analyze workforce trends, identify risks, opportunities, anomalies, and emerging themes, and prepare insights and preliminary findings for review by HR leadership.
- Support annual compensation processes, including market pricing, salary-range analysis, merit and incentive planning, pay-equity reviews, and compensation reporting.
- Conduct compensation intake and preliminary analysis for new hires, promotions, adjustments, and organizational changes, including internal-equity review, market pricing, job matching and leveling, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain job, position, salary, and organizational data; support job architecture, compensation structures, Salary.com administration, salary survey submissions, and related audits and reconciliations.
- Provide Total Rewards operational support, including benefits eligibility and enrollment changes, HSA funding, self-billing, EOI administration, carrier administration, invoice reconciliation, open enrollment activities, and routine employee inquiries.
- Coordinate leave administration and provide initial intake and tracking for unemployment and workers' compensation claims, maintaining required documentation and escalating complex or high-risk matters as appropriate.
- Administer and improve HRIS reporting, dashboards, workflows, data feeds, and system configuration in partnership with HR functional owners, with an emphasis on data quality, controls, and user experience.
- Create and maintain data definitions, reporting standards, source documentation, and quality-control processes; reconcile HRIS data with Payroll, Finance, benefits, and other source systems as appropriate.
- Prepare recurring workforce, regulatory, audit, and ownership reporting, including EEO and Blackstone reporting, and maintain accurate source data and audit-ready documentation.
- Support HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, and business partners with workforce planning, budgeting, organizational-design analysis, Total Rewards forecasting, and ad hoc leadership reporting.
- Identify and support opportunities to automate recurring reporting and Total Rewards processes, strengthen data controls, improve self-service reporting, and reduce manual work and key-person dependency.
- Protect confidential employee and compensation information and follow established data-governance and access-control practices.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Three or more years of experience in people analytics, compensation, HRIS, HR reporting, or a closely related analytical role.
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, data validation, and analysis of large data sets.
- Experience building dashboards or data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, UKG Pro People Analytics/Cognos, or a comparable platform.
- Experience with an HRIS; UKG Pro experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of compensation concepts, including market pricing, salary ranges, job evaluation, merit planning, and pay analysis.
- Ability to validate data, investigate discrepancies, document processes, and deliver accurate work under recurring deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data and technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee and compensation information.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, data modeling, survey analytics, or automated reporting is preferred.
