People Operations Specialist - Return-to-Work Program

Job Category: People

Location: US - Massachusetts - Waltham

Meet Our Team:

You’ll join Pega’s Global People Operations team, a collaborative and diverse support team focused on delivering a seamless experience for candidates and employees around the world. As a People Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our people feel supported at every stage of their journey with Pega, from pre‑hire through alumni status.

We value diverse career paths and welcome professionals who are returning to work after time away and are excited to re‑engage their careers in People Operations.

Picture Yourself at Pega:

Imagine yourself as a trusted connection between Pega employees and the People function. In this role, you’ll make a meaningful impact on day‑to‑day employee and candidate experiences by providing thoughtful support, clear communication, and dependable follow‑through. You’ll be part of a global team that values learning, process improvement, and helping one another succeed - especially as you get back into the rhythm of a professional role.

What You'll Do at Pega:

+ Support global pre‑boarding and onboarding activities, including paperwork review and background check coordination

+ Support Tier 1 People Operations inquiries providing timely, friendly, and accurate support through our service management platform

+ Maintain accurate employee and candidate records in our systems, with guidance and documented processes to support you

+ Assist employees with onboarding forms and questions, ensuring a smooth and welcoming start

+ Help manage People administration tasks across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, transfers, verifications, offboarding)

+ Serve as secondary support cross functionally – most immediately in our mobility space, supporting Public Access File maintenance, LCA postings, and processing new intakes.

+ Follow and help maintain clear standard operating procedures and documentation

+ Look for opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and the overall employee experience

You’ll receive training, resources, and support to help you succeed - especially if you’re returning to the workforce after time away.

Who You Are:

You may be a great fit if you:

+ Enjoy helping others and take pride in providing a positive service experience

+ Are organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable following defined processes

+ Like learning new systems and building confidence over time

+ You approach problems with independence and curiosity, while contributing learnings back to team resources for collective learning

+ Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and conversation

+ Are returning to the workforce and excited to refresh or build People Operations skills

+ Value teamwork, structure, and knowing you can ask questions as you learn

Career paths are not always linear, and that’s okay at Pega.

What You've Accomplished:

We’re looking for capability and potential, not perfection:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

+ Experience in HR, operations, administration, customer service, or a related field (this may include experience prior to a career break)

+ Comfort using Microsoft Office tools (Excel experience is helpful but can be refreshed)

+ Ability to handle sensitive information with care and confidentiality

+ Strong attention to detail and follow‑through

+ Willingness to learn HR processes, systems, and best practices

If you don’t meet every requirement but feel excited about the role, we still encourage you to apply.

Pega Offers You:

+ A supportive environment for learning and career re‑entry

+ A global, people‑first culture that values flexibility and growth

+ Opportunities to build modern People Operations experience

+ The chance to work with innovative technology and diverse teams
