Job Summary The People Services Coordinator is critical to the smooth operation of our HR functions, supporting employees across the organization and partnering with People Services leadership to drive a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture. This role reports to the People Service Manager and will lead and support a variety of HR initiatives including employee engagement, onboarding, compliance, and day‑to‑day HR operations.Essential Functions Assist in implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.Conduct employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and collaborate with leadership on action planning.Assist with new hire orientations and onboarding tasks, including I‑9s, E‑Verify, and benefit verification.Support employees and managers with HR‑related questions, resolve issues promptly and professionally, and serve as a trusted point of contact for HR inquiries regarding policies and procedures.Support offboarding activities and unemployment claims and manage labor law postings across office locations.Maintain employee data integrity in HRIS (e.g., Workday), conducting regular audits and updates.Provide administrative support for all departments, including invoice processing, receipt of corporate office invoices, and sorting documentation for billing.Provide reception desk coverage, greet and direct visitors, guests, and employees, coordinate badge issuance with IT, and maintain corporate security logs.Assist with incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and packages; monitor and maintain the central office supply room; assist with company events and ordering supplies; and perform related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field.Certification in Human Resources (PLUS) preferred.Three (3) or more years of HR experience, preferably in a professional setting.One (1) year experience supporting a government contracting company.Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) and government contracting compliance is a plus.Experience supporting a geographically dispersed or remote team.Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).Strong computer skills, including typing at 55 wpm.Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to balance multiple priorities and meet stringent deadlines.Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and representing the company professionally.Conditions of Employment Complete a rigorous culture and competency testing process.Complete a drug test and be at least 21 years of age.Possess a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident; U.S. residency requirement - three consecutive years in the last five years.Subject to a government background investigation to meet eligibility for classified information access.Must pass a 5‑panel drug test, a child abuse/neglect report (CAN), and a physical fitness assessment as required.Physical Demands Standing/walking for extended periods during meetings.Climbing, stooping, or kneeling up to 10% of the time.Lifting, pulling, or pushing up to 10% of the time.Fingering/grasping/typing and using a telephone system 100% of the time.Sitting for prolonged periods as required by job tasks.Equal Opportunity Statement Providencia is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, disability, or any other federally, state, or local protected class.
