People Shared Services Specialist

IDR is seeking a People Shared Services Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you’ll provide advanced administrative and operational support across core HR/shared services functions, helping ensure a smooth employee experience from onboarding through offboarding. You’ll serve as a go-to resource for resolving complex employee inquiries, maintaining high data accuracy in HR systems, and improving processes through clear documentation and training.

Position Overview for the People Shared Services Specialist:

• Provide advanced HR/shared services support across onboarding, employee data management, payroll/benefits coordination, and offboarding
• Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned HR processes and system transactions, resolving complex employee inquiries
• Create, maintain, and continuously improve SOPs and workflows for specialized areas
• Train and support coordinators to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
• Maintain accurate employee records and promote operational excellence through strong attention to detail

Requirements for the People Shared Services Specialist:

• Prior experience supporting HR Shared Services and employee lifecycle processes (onboarding through offboarding)
• Strong working knowledge of HRIS/ATS/service management tools (Workday, Greenhouse, and ServiceNow preferred)
• Ability to create, maintain, and improve SOPs/process documentation with a continuous-improvement mindset
• Excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR)
