Job Description

Job Summary:

The Peoplesoft Architect role in Columbus, OH involves leading the functional and technical aspects of PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, with a focus on General Ledger and Commitment Control modules. The architect will provide expertise in development, troubleshooting, integration, and lifecycle testing within a large enterprise environment, supporting cross-module workflows and external application interfaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide extensive expertise in PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, specifically General Ledger (GL) and Commitment Control (KK).
  • Work on the functional team while applying advanced technical proficiency in PeopleSoft development and troubleshooting.
  • Manage cross-module integration including GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing, and Travel & Expense.
  • Develop and maintain PeopleSoft architectures with external applications.
  • Perform PeopleSoft development and work with Application Designer and Application Engines.
  • Analyze PeopleCode, AE programs, and technical objects to identify root causes, customizations, and upgrade conflicts.
  • Utilize People Tools, Integration Broker, web services, REST, and SOAP API integrations.
  • Lead functional design discussions and technical solution walkthroughs with project management responsibilities.
  • Create custom inbound and outbound interface files with banking and other external systems.
  • Conduct production support including issue triage, defect resolution, and incident management.
  • Perform comprehensive PeopleSoft lifecycle testing and business process validation.
  • Write enhancement documentation covering requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and risk analysis.
  • Support a large Government enterprise solution environment.
  • Be available on call 24/7 for urgent support needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, especially General Ledger and Commitment Control.
  • Advanced technical skills in PeopleSoft development, PeopleCode, Application Designer, and Application Engines.
  • Experience with People Tools, Integration Broker, REST and SOAP API integrations.
  • Strong understanding of cross-module integrations within PeopleSoft.
  • Proficiency in PS Query and knowledge of PeopleSoft tables and structures.
  • Experience with production support and incident management.
  • Comprehensive lifecycle testing expertise.
  • Project management and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on call 24/7.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience with large Government enterprise solutions.
  • Knowledge of SOA and file transfer technologies.
  • Experience creating custom interfaces with banking and external systems.
Special Considerations:
  • Must be available on call 24/7 for urgent support and issue resolution.
Scheduling:
  • Regular shift from 8am to 5pm EST.
  • 12+ month contract with possibility of extension.
