Position Summary
The PeopleSoft Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining technical solutions within the State of Oklahoma's enterprise PeopleSoft environments. This role partners closely with OMES Functional Teams, Business Analysts, and state agency users to deliver high‑quality enhancements, integrations, and system support across PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management. The position requires strong technical expertise, analytical problem‑solving, and the ability to collaborate across multi‑agency environments. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft development and PeopleTools and should support PeopleSoft upgrades, integrations, production issues, performance tuning, and technical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Requirements
Technical Development & Support
Maintenance, Patching & Oracle Coordination
Coordinate with Oracle Corp and OMES teams to support application maintenance activities.
Notify leads and stakeholders regarding pre‑ and post‑maintenance tasks such as:
OS and security patching
Application‑related Oracle patches
Certificate updates
Server and infrastructure maintenance
Vulnerability patching
Application rolling bounces
Create and maintain Pulse calendar entries in My Oracle Support for quarterly maintenance activities, ensuring no conflicts with operational timelines.
Release, Migration & Environment Management
Support, Incident Management & Continuous Improvement
Agile, Project Tracking & Documentation
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience and 5+ years of PeopleSoft technical development experience.
