PeopleSoft Finance Senior Business Analyst

Join a dynamic team within the Division of Information Technology as we continue to enhance and modernize our PeopleSoft Financials environment to better serve faculty, staff, and students across the university. As a Senior PeopleSoft Finance Business Analyst, you will lead impactful projects, drive process improvements, collaborate with stakeholders across campus, and serve as a trusted expert in delivering innovative, customer-focused technology solutions. About the Role
In this role, you'll be a strategic partner helping shape how USC's financial systems serve the university community. We're seeking someone with strong PeopleSoft Financials experience with a background in post-award Grants Management, Receivables, and Billing who enjoys balancing production support, business analysis, process improvement, and project leadership. Job Duty
Provide FSCM production incident triage/resolution as well as problem analysis/resolution support (tier 2) for assigned modules. Collaborate with the Program Manager & Division of Administration & Finance central staff to review/maintain operational & service level metrics for trends, patterns, prioritization, improvements, & training needs. Build ad-hoc PeopleSoft queries to support customers and end-users.

Performs highly complex FSCM process analysis, design, and simulation across multiple platforms and/or across functions in business areas. Identifies current processes and procedures that are candidates for improvement and leads the creation of future configurations that lead to gains in efficiency and cost savings. Leads the definition of system scope and objectives based on user-defined needs. Leads and prepares detailed functional specifications. Documents PeopleSoft business processes, testing scenarios/scripts, related training content, job aids, and end-user communications. Directs the design and implementation of multiple internal or external program/projects that are complex in nature.

Serve as lead subject matter expert for assigned PeopleSoft modules - available to assist FSCM functional stakeholders, business analyst peers & technical teams with highly technical content, processes and procedures.

Participate with peers, Program Manager, and other Division of Administration & Finance managers in continual process improvement of standards/processes for production support, incident management, change management, testing, and upgrades.

Utilizing industry standard program management methodologies, serve as PeopleSoft business analyst on mid-size to large projects. Serve as a contact for vendor partnerships facilitating meetings & evaluating vendor proposals. Facilitate inter/intra departmental tasks, meetings & communication. Mentor team members to enhance business analyst skills. Participate in regular production support, incident management, release management, change management, SME, & user group meetings. Provides estimates on the amount of analysis effort based on requirements. Reports to management on status of projects.
