The PeopleSoft FSCM Upgrade Specialist will serve as a senior-level Applications Architect responsible for supporting enterprise ERP modernization initiatives, including simultaneous PeopleSoft implementation and upgrade projects. This role focuses on upgrading and maintaining PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 environments running on Linux and Oracle platforms while ensuring system stability, scalability, performance, and security.
The selected consultant will work closely with infrastructure, database administration, application support, and project teams to build, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple PeopleSoft environments. The position requires extensive expertise with PeopleSoft PUM upgrades, middleware administration, PeopleTools troubleshooting, search framework technologies, and advanced scripting.
This is primarily a remote role; however, occasional hybrid work in Austin, Texas may be required based on project needs.
Lead PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 upgrade activities using PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM).
Build, configure, clone, and maintain multiple PeopleSoft environments.
Perform PeopleTools upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.
Administer and manage PeopleSoft middleware components including WebLogic and Tuxedo.
Configure and support PeopleSoft Search Framework technologies.
Manage Elasticsearch and OpenSearch integrations and performance optimization.
Develop and maintain advanced Linux shell scripts and SQL automation processes.
Troubleshoot complex PeopleTools, middleware, and application issues.
Coordinate with Oracle DBA teams to support environment builds, migrations, and upgrades.
Monitor system performance and implement tuning recommendations.
Support ERP implementation and modernization initiatives.
Maintain system documentation, environment diagrams, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with hosting vendors and infrastructure teams as needed.
Participate in system testing, deployment, and production support activities.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations for architecture and platform improvements.
Support after-hours activities when required during upgrades, migrations, and critical project milestones.

Minimum 8 years of experience performing PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 PUM upgrades.
Minimum 8 years of experience administering and managing WebLogic and Tuxedo middleware environments.
Minimum 8 years of experience troubleshooting PeopleTools 8.6x environments.
Minimum 8 years of experience with advanced Linux scripting and SQL development.
Minimum 4 years of experience supporting PeopleSoft Search Framework technologies including Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, environment management, and upgrade methodologies.
Experience building and maintaining multiple PeopleSoft environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Experience working with Federal, State, or Local Government organizations.
Experience coordinating with hosting vendors and managed service providers.
Experience using Phire for change management and migration management.
Experience working with Tivoli Scheduler.
Experience supporting large-scale ERP modernization initiatives.
Experience with Oracle Linux and Oracle infrastructure environments.
Experience supporting enterprise-level PeopleSoft implementations and upgrades.
