Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem Cardiac Sonographer - NYUL Reproductive Specialists - Mineola.

In this role, the successful candidate will perform all types of Echocardiography and Non-invasive Vascular testing including echos, stress echos, carotid duplex, venous duplex, arterial duplex, PVR's, and abdominal aorta duplex testing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Performs echocardiograph exams using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and the IDX billing scheduling systems. Registers all studies performed in the log book.
  • Performs vascular exams, using the EMR and IDX scheduling systems. Registers all studies performed in the log book.
  • Handles calls regarding emergency test add-ons and scheduling issues.
  • Assists in the proper functioning of the cardiovascular lab including, but not limited to, maintaining clean equipment and re-stocking the lab with supplies, as necessary.
  • Attends quarterly quality assurance meetings and in-services as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED required. Technical Diploma Graduate of an accredited two year ultrasound program required. 3 - 5 years In a cardiovascular ultrasound role in a Hospital or Office setting with ARDMS (RDCS) credentials required and registry eligible vascular sonography (vascular credentials required within first year). Strong communication (both written and oral), problem solving, and customer service skills. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office..

Required Licenses: Diagnostic Cardic Sonogrphr-Ct, Reg Cardiac Sonographer - Cert, Reg Vascular Technologist-Cert

Preferred Qualifications:
Current and valid BLS or CPR certification.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
