We are seeking an expert Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join our high-acuity cardiac team, driving exceptional patient outcomes through clinical leadership and specialized procedural care. The Advance Practice Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning health promotion and preventive care within this specialized area of practice and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment of health problems according to established joint nursing/medical protocols.

Schedule: Per Diem Day shifts 7:00A-5:00P.
Working collaboratively with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams, the APN provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
In addition to direct practice, the sub-roles of the Advance Practice Nurse role include education, research and consultation. The Advance Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care.
This role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care across the continuum, from pre-procedural evaluation through post-procedural follow-up.
What your day will look like
Demonstrates clinical expertise in area of specialty, role modeling application of clinical practice standards.
Identifies clinical problems in care of specialty and proposes solutions and/or a plan to address the issue.
Utilizes assessment techniques based on current research and knowledge.
Determines and prioritizes patient care needs. Diagnoses are determined and prioritized from the assessment data using appropriate complex clinical reasoning.
Performs or implements interventions and treatments with knowledge of health care research findings and reflecting a scientific basis and theory.
Selects and performs tests and therapeutic procedures for the patient as necessary, adhering to scope of practice guidelines and program area's curriculum.
Develops collaborative protocols with physicians as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Excellent clinical and communication skills.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
National Board certification is required
Current NJ Professional Nurse License
Current NJ Nurse Practitioner License
3-5 years recent clinical experience in area of expertise preferred
Strong Cardiovascular background required
DEA and NJ CDS registration
Current BLS and ACLS certification

The rate shown reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position; actual pay will depend on several factors, including educational background, skills, and professional experience.
