The psychiatric clinician is a licensed, experienced professional who is the clinical expert in the assessment and treatment of patients and families in the ambulatory settings of Greenwich Hospital. As the clinical expert, the scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, diagnostic assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, brief treatment, crisis intervention, mental health consultation, teaching/mentoring, and/or other project/task force participation as assigned by supervisor. The clinician will work collaboratively with members of the health care teams throughout the organization.

EDUCATION
Master of Social Work (MSW) Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Master of Arts, Master of Science or Master of Education.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years' experience in behavioral health. Individuals with experience treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions with adolescents and adults working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical setting; training in cognitive-behavioral interventions; who embrace a biopsychosocial model of understanding and treating behavior and mental health; and are committed to program development are encouraged to apply. IOP/Crisis intervention experience preferred.
LICENSURE
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) required. Current CPR certification recommended
SPECIAL SKILLS
The clinician will possess the following special skills: empathy, active listening, critical thinking, strong organizational and computer skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with and advocate for patients and families. Additionally, develop and use skills in the implementation and use of the electronic medical record (EMR) applications, ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, clinical staff, and the public. Population expected to work with include Adolescent 12-18, Adults 19- 64 and Geriatrics 65 years of age.
