Per-diem Direct Support Professionals

Benhaven is seeking Per Diem Direct Support Professionals. The Per Diem Direct Support Professional will provide care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home-like setting. The position is on an as-needed basis, serving as a substitute for regular staff members when they are unavailable.

Starting Pay: $20-22/hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores
• Implement individualized support plans and goals under the direction of the Residential Services Coordinator
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
• Encourage individuals to participate in social, recreational, and community activities
• Document daily progress and any incidents or concerns in individual files
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff members
• Attend trainings and meetings as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism preferred
• Ability to pass a criminal & driver''s background check
• Valid CT driver''s license, current registration, and auto insurance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• CPR & PMT certified preferred, but will provide training
• DDS Med Certified preferred, but will provide training
